A Study on the Effects of Glucose, Ascorbic acid, Protein on the Jaffe reaction



Abstract
We studied about the effects on the reaction, according to time, temperature, pH and noncreatinine chromogen (glucose, ascorbic acid, protein) in the determiation of creatinine by Jaffe reaction.
The results obtained were as follows.
1 . Jaffe reaction was finished almost within 20 minutes at 201C and 15 minutes at 371C.
2 . Jaffe reaction was finished at over pH 12.
3 . Jaffe reaction was effected highly in the presence of glucose, ascorbic acid, and protein at over pH 12 but, low at bellow pH 10.
4 . Jaffe reaction was occured the highest at 201C --40¡É
5 . Jaffe reaction was effected highly at the high temperature than the low temperature in the presence of glucose, ascorbic acid, and protein.
